It’s always nice to have a heads up on what you’re walking into. If you’re planning to join us for a gathering, here are some frequently asked questions that will help you know what to expect.
What is a typical gathering like at Compelled?
One of our values is exciting and meaningful worship so we spend the first portion of our gathering time singing together. Focusing our hearts and minds on how amazing God is to us. We also value relationships and coffee, following our time of singing we take 4 minutes to say hello to a few friends and catch up on how life is going. This is also a perfect time to get a refill on your coffee before we move into the message portion of the gathering. To wrap it all up we take some time to look into the word of God, Pastor Nate will share a few words, or a lot of words if he drank too much coffee.
What do I do with my children?
You can drop off your kids at the Kids Ministry Check-in by the Family Entrance at the south side of the building. Just don’t forget to pick them up. If you have babies, the nursery is located just before you enter the Worship Center. There is a separate check-in station for the nursery.
What should I wear?
Anything you want! We are pretty relaxed around here. From shorts to jeans, T-shirts to ties, it’s all good. There is no dress code at Compelled, show up in what you feel comfortable in and we will be happy to have you.
How do I meet the Pastors?
We have designed a special night just for you; we call it Pizza with Pastors. It’s not very complicated. We meet together in a relaxing environment and eat Pizza. On this night you will have the opportunity to ask us anything you want. We may plead the 5th, but you can ask away. We usually do these nights four times a year, check out our events page for the next Pizza with Pastors.
I hear you say multiple locations, what does that mean?
We are one church in multiple locations. It’s amazing to think that when we gather together on a Sunday morning, the Compelled church family is located in two different locations represented by hundreds of people worshiping at the same time. In 2012 we launched Compelled Holland out of our Bedford location. Pastor Nate gives leadership to the Bedford location as well as provides the video teaching each week for Holland, while Pastor Tim Rabara gives leadership and oversight to the Holland location. Whether you land at Bedford or Holland , you will experience live worship and amazing kids ministry every weekend.
